“Birds and their forms in space have always fascinated me and have become a recurrent theme in my work. Some paintings explore the translucent, watery properties of paint to create feathery forms bursting with light and texture. Birds in space and their relationship to their surroundings are another aspect that has inspired my paintings. Balanced forms, bulbous bodies on spindly legs precariously perched on branches and twigs heaving under their weight and movement.”
