Ceramic Sculpture

Bessie Millar develops themes of memory, traces and impressions in her hand-built structures.

Her inspiration originates from architectural space and aerial views of landscape, although the abstract nature of the work encourages individual interpretation. She explores clay as a tactile medium, inviting the viewer to experience the surfaces through touch.
